pressure sensor for the mp-Multiboard2

Delivery time: 1-3 working days

SKU: BM-A-0001 Category:

In order to extend the performance of a microfluidic system, we offer additional necessary components, such as microfluidic sensors, to achieve full systemic functionality. We have carefully selected them to work seamlessly with our micropump The Bartels Pump | BP7 – Tubing.

Our pressure sensor for liquids and gases is adapted and ready-for-use. It is a piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor. The pressure sensor offers a ratiometric analog or digital output for reading pressure over the specified full-scale pressure span and temperature range.

They are calibrated and temperature compensated for sensor offset, sensitivity, temperature effects and accuracy using an on-board Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC). Calibrated output values for pressure are updated at approximately 1 kHz for analog and 2 kHz for digital. It can be used with dry gases and non-corrosive liquids.

This sensor measures gage pressure and covers a range of up to 15 psi with a total error band of ±1.5 %FSS. Also, the sensor is calibrated over the temperature range of 0°C to 50°C. At the same time, it is very small with a size of only 8×7 mm. There is no additional power source needed once the sensor is connected to the mp-Multiboard2. For more information and technical data on the pressure sensor, please refer to the accessories catalogue in the download are on the website.

The pressure sensor is easily integrated into new or existing mp-Multiboard2 set-ups. The sensor is already fitted with the cable you need for the connection to the evaluation board. For best readings, we suggest you buy the mp-y connectors and mp-hc hose clamps. The sensor readout is then seamlessly integrated in the Multiboard software to ensure easy control over the all system functions.

With this pressure sensor, you can add the advantage of active monitoring to your microfluidic system and make control possible. Thus, you can quickly and easily build your microfluidic system in an intelligent and miniaturized way. The pressure sensor is part of the mp-advance kit and can be added to the mp-select kit.
